Parasolid models can be used across the manufacturing process as definitive 3D representations, therefore Parasolid provides a comprehensive suite of functions that enable applications to query information about a given model. This volume explains how to use these functions to enquire about the topological and geometric information of a model and calculate the various mass properties of a model, such as area, volume, length, center of gravity and moment of inertia. It also explains how to detect clashing entities and how to test the validity of a body.
